10 Days / 9 Nights

Countries: Uganda & Rwanda

Style: Primates • Nature • Soft Adventure

Best for: Wildlife enthusiasts, couples, slow-travel lovers

Comfort level: Midrange (upgradeable)

Trip Overview

This carefully paced cross-border journey focuses on East Africa’s most extraordinary primate encounters, linking Uganda’s rainforests with Rwanda’s volcanic highlands.

The itinerary begins in Uganda with chimpanzee trekking in lush forest landscapes before moving south through savannah and crater-lake scenery. The highlight is a gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, followed by a smooth border crossing into Rwanda and a relaxed finale in the misty foothills of the Virunga volcanoes.

With only one border crossing, multiple two-night stays, and a clear focus on forests rather than constant park-hopping, this tour offers deep, meaningful wildlife encounters without logistical pressure.
