Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo – Welcome to Ancient Egypt
Arrive in Cairo, Egypt’s bustling capital where ancient history meets modern life.

Afternoon (depending on arrival time):
Your guide will introduce you to Egypt’s history, the structure of the trip, and key archaeological sites you will visit. If time allows, you may explore the nearby areas such as Khan El Khalili bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East.
Evening:
Relax at the hotel or enjoy an optional Nile dinner cruise with live music and traditional entertainment.

Day 2: Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum – Journey into the Old Kingdom
After breakfast, begin your deep dive into ancient Egyptian civilization.
Morning – Giza Plateau Experience:
Travel to the iconic Giza Plateau where you will explore the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Your Egyptologist guide will explain how these 4,500-year-old structures were built and their significance in ancient burial beliefs.
You will also visit the Great Sphinx, the mysterious limestone guardian of the pyramids. Optional camel rides allow you to view the pyramids from panoramic desert angles.
Afternoon – Egyptian Museum:
Continue to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, home to thousands of artifacts including royal treasures, statues, and mummies. Highlights include the treasures of Tutankhamun and detailed relics from multiple dynasties spanning thousands of years.
Evening:
Optional sound and light show at the pyramids or leisure time at the hotel.

Day 3: Cairo → Luxor – Beginning of the Nile Cruise Journey
After an early breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum.
Arrival & Embarkation:
On arrival, you are transferred directly to your luxury Nile cruise ship on the Nile River. After check-in and lunch onboard, your journey along the Nile begins.
Afternoon – East Bank Exploration:
Visit Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated and located in the heart of the modern city. Your guide explains its role in religious festivals and its connection to Karnak Temple.
Evening:
Dinner onboard the cruise as the ship remains docked in Luxor.

Day 4: West Bank of Luxor – Valley of Kings Exploration
Today focuses on the ancient burial grounds of Egypt’s pharaohs.
Morning – West Bank Tour:
Cross the Nile to explore the West Bank necropolis, including:
- Valley of the Kings: Enter decorated tombs of pharaohs, including intricate wall paintings and burial chambers
- Temple of Hatshepsut: A stunning terraced temple dedicated to Egypt’s most powerful female ruler
- Colossi of Memnon: Massive stone statues guarding the ancient mortuary complex
Your guide will explain burial rituals, beliefs about the afterlife, and ancient construction techniques.
Afternoon – Sailing Begins:
Return to the cruise ship and begin sailing south along the Nile River toward Edfu. The afternoon is relaxed, with scenic views of rural Egypt, palm groves, and riverside villages.

Day 5: Edfu & Kom Ombo – Temples of the Nile Gods
This day is dedicated to two of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples.
Morning – Edfu Temple:
Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, reached by horse carriage. This temple is one of the best-preserved in Egypt and provides deep insight into ancient religious practices.
Afternoon – Kom Ombo Temple:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus. Here you will also see ancient medical instruments carved into stone walls, reflecting early Egyptian science.
Evening:
Onboard cultural entertainment, including traditional Egyptian music or dance performance.

Day 6: Aswan – Nubian Culture & Temple of Isis
Arrive in Aswan, a calmer and more scenic city in southern Egypt.
Morning – Aswan Highlights:
Visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on an island and reached by boat. The temple was relocated stone by stone to save it from flooding caused by the High Dam.
You will also visit the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that transformed Egypt’s agriculture and economy.
